During these difficult times, it feels like life has come to a standstill, suspended in air, so to speak. At the same time, we yearn to move forward to feel reassured that, in some places, life goes on. Artists are accustomed to working in isolation, and even thrive on it. We can look to our artists for creative leadership, and that may just help us get through this moment in time.
So we asked our artist members to let us know what they are working on and share some of their stories of how they are focusing on their work. We hope you will join us as we take a look inside their studios and encounter them as they go one on one with a canvas or sculpture.
We've titled this special presentation, "IN THE STUDIO," and we will be adding to the show on an ongoing basis and posting to Instagram.
We wish you the very best, and that you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy!
Socially distanced in my studio where I live, 12x12 boards are all prepared with gesso for a series I’m creating as part of an online Creative Visionary Program. I’ll be making several passes on these over the next 6 weeks, sure to capture layers and layers of feelings during this surreal time.
