Beth Surdut is a seasoned professional designer and writer creating projects inspired by nature, science, and spirit. An award-winning wildlife illustrator, writer, and radio commentator, she is the creator of the multi-platform nature series, The Art of Paying Attention.

Her primary focus is observing, researching, and illustrating desert denizens, portraying them through art and storytelling. Listening to Raven, her illustrated collection of true encounters, won the Tucson Festival of Books Literary Award for Non-Fiction. Her work is exhibited in major museums, collected internationally, and appears in numerous publications.
Client ideas are welcome for beautiful projects, especially inspired by nature or myth. Some of her best work has been generated by “what if” and “could you possibly…”
Public and private commissions include silk prayer shawls and healing scarves, 24 stained glass windows for a palace, mosaics, murals, textiles, paintings, exhibits and collaborations with venues including the Smithsonian, MFA Boston, NY State Museum, New Mexico Museum of Fine Arts, and Art Billboard Project in Los Angeles.
