Kathryn Gastelum is an abstract artist and Tucson, Arizona native that deeply admires the desert beauty, color and jazz. Attending the University of Arizona, she received her degree in Graphic Design in 1987. During college years, studies abroad to Paris, France for Studio Art and Art History captured her heart and art direction. Since then, everything about Paris is an indelible memory while new travels to Europe and the great USA remain most special for creative inspiration.

KATHRYN GASTELUM

Kathryn worked in Advertising as a Media Buyer and then expanded her education at the Arizona Institute of Interior Design. She became affiliated with the American Society of Interior Designers (A.S.I.D) as an Associated member and joined her husband (Architect/Builder) in 2002 as the Interior Designer for their business Centerline Design & Interiors. Years later, it became clear that her painting needed to resume full time and professionally, therefore, color + composition, driven by Jazz music and our awesome Southwest sunsets inspire some great, colorful abstractions. Kathryn continues to move her art into different markets and Art Expos such as Art Miami, New York and Art Santa Fe hoping to connect with those viewers who look deeply into her paintings and see.
