Have you ever wondered about having an art essay, or review, written about your artwork? Writing artist essays is definitely a specialty, and, as an independent curator and art writer, I have been writing artist essays for several years. It is one of my biggest pleasures, and it is my deepest honor to write them.
 

The writing I have completed for artists has helped provide context for their art, offering art appreciators a deeper understanding of their work. It also provides the artists with additional confidence, especially when presenting their work to new audiences, such as when looking for gallery representation or exhibiting their art.
 

What would an art essay do for me?
First and foremost, an art essay provides context for what you create and how you create it. It informs the viewer of your art what you are communicating and how your art and style are unique. An art essay provides a curated opinion about your artwork, written by a qualified curator. To that end, it offers a third-party endorsement of your artwork and assists people who may be interested in purchasing your art to come away with a deeper understanding of both the art and the artist. It also gives the buyer additional confidence when considering purchasing your work.
 

Here are some of the ways the art essay may be used:

What is the process?
To arrive at the information needed for the essay, I will thoroughly review all of your artwork on your website, and read your bio and statement. I then get to work doing research to discover possible relevant references to your style and medium of art. Then I will speak to you on the phone for approximately 30 to 45 minutes to ensure I understand the essence of what you are doing. At that point, I am ready to start writing. It usually takes up to three to four weeks, depending on the number of assignments that may already be on the schedule. I will inform you of when it will be completed once the assignment is received.
 

Today I am offering my essay writing services to Artists in Arizona. Summer is the best time of year for me to be indoors, and I like to spend my time writing. So today I am offering a special price on my essay writing as well as a special bonus. The bonus includes having an online exhibit of your art along with your essay. The exhibits will stay up for one year on the Artists in Arizona website.
 

Each package includes a special bonus: an online exhibit with your art and the essay on our website. Art will be hung on virtual walls. Now accepting FIVE artists through JUNE 10TH (first come, first served.)
 

1) Art Essay - 350 Words
Fee: $495 NOW $375 including the Bonus online exhibit.
 

2) Art Essay - up to 750 words
Fee: $695 NOW $495 including the Bonus online exhibit
 

3) Art Essay - From 1,200 to 1,300 words
Fee: $1,050 NOW $795 including the Bonus online exhibit
